Rob "RJ" Awe

Rob Awe is a bass guitarist whose rock and roll roots began in the 1980s in South Minneapolis. Prior to joining The Choppers, Rob was a founding member of KICKSTART a 80's cover band favorite amongst numerous Twin Cities fans. Many got to know him from 93x's 2004 Project, "Making A Rock Band". Where he and local artists were called upon to cover and record "Far Behind" by Candlebox. Some of Rob's fondest music memories are opening for national acts that include Firehouse and Warrant. He also enjoys looking back to his garage band days and of course the band that started it all, ODYSSEY. Rob's free time consists of going out to see friends in other bands in the local clubs, harassing his dog Baxter, spending "quality time" with his wife and procrastinating on his honey do list around the house.

RJ uses Warwick Thumb and Ibanez guitars with Eden amplification.
